Hansal Mehta Thankful To Aamir Khan For Promoting ‘Shahid’

Aamir Khan decided to support the movie ‘Shahid’ soon after he saw its trailer. Shaid is based on the life of slain lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi.Aamir had also posted the trailer on his official Facebook page.
Hansal Mehta felt grateful towards Aamir and said, “I am thankful to him (Aamir)… It feels good that he is promoting the film. It is a warm gesture”. There was no reason for him to do so but he went ahead and spoke well about the film. He supporting the film is a big thing,” Mehta said.

Recently, filmmaker Karan Johar played an active role in the promotion of Irrfan Khan starrer ‘The Lunchbox’ as a presenter, while director Kiran Rao presented ‘Ship of Thesus’. Both films, falling in parallel bracket, were benefited by the support, and did well at the box office. However, Mehta clarified that Aamir was not “presenting” the film.

Releasing on October 18, the film, starring Rajkumar of `Kai Po Che` fame, is distributed by UTV Motion Pictures.

Hrithik Roshan Invests 25 Crores In Real Estate

The Roshan family is all set to raise a toast to a acquisition of a high end property by their Superstar son Hrithik Roshan and his wife Susssanne, who have spent 25 crores for a spanking new apartment.
As per sources, recently there was a rumour of a split between Hrithik and his wife, but this news will quash the reports. As the lavishly spread apartment in an area across 4,500 sq ft in the upscale Bandra at an approximate cost of Rs 25 crore was acquired by the couple together. At the time of purchase, the flat is said to have been still under construction and the couple on several occasions was spotted checking out the work-in-progress.

Is Salman Khan Behind The Reason “Besharam’s” Failure?

Abhinav Kashyap is shocked by the way some critics have slammed his movie ‘Besharam’. This is the first time he is facing such a backlash. His earlier movie ‘Dabangg’ was a rollicking hit, but you cannot say the same about ‘Besharam’.

As per sources, Abhinav defended himself, “I have the first day numbers of the film which is the highest for both me and Ranbir. I really don’t understand why the English media and certain people with vested interest are panning the film. I am getting calls from my friends from cinema halls. People are roaring in laughter! I am happy with film’s first day collection.

Besharam’s trailer had irked Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan fans for making fun of the two superstars. So Abhinav feels that it is the work of  some people from the industry who have done it to show him in bad light. He said, ”With whatever is happening around ‘Besharam’, I smell some kind of a sinister plan. Certain forces don’t want the film to succeed.

Its no secret that Abhinav had a fallout with Salman Khan post ‘Dabangg’, and he had also said that Ranbir is better than Salman . Well now it seems that he is blaming Salman Khan  for the failure of his movie. Does he mean to say that Salman Khan has many powerful friends to make or break anyone.

If I Ever Have A Child I Wish Its A Girl” – Salman Khan

Superstar Salman Khan who has been supporting the cause of ‘Girl Child, Women Empowerment’ programme, says if he ever has a child, he wishes it should be a girl. “If I ever have a child.. Insh’allah I will… I wish its a girl. I want a girl child’.  He is supporting the cause with Miss Universe Olivia Culpo and Sanjana Jon who is in India for 10 days for the awareness programme.

According to sources,  Salman Khan is trying to stop ‘Female Foeticide’ (Killing of Girl Child) very much being practiced in India. ‘How can you kill a child even before its birth… Its not about awareness, its about your mentality. If you kill the girl child, eventually there will be no mothers and sisters and guys will have no women to marry. Women play a huge role in our lives

He also said that he is quite happy to have two sisters who are better at taking care of his parents than them any day ‘Women are ruling today… how can they be a burden. In my family I have two sisters and they take care of my parents more than any of us. I am glad I have two sisters.’
We think that if all the Indians start thinking like Salman Khan, then there will be no rape or female infanticide, nor the girl child will be considered a burden as she is now.

Salman Khan Is Facing Health Issues Again

Superstar Salman Khan’s health troubles have returned once again and that too with a vengeance. The Dabangg Khan who was being treated for his chronic nerve disorder, is once again in a lot of pain. That has slowed down the shoot of his soon to be released movie ‘Jai Ho’, as he is finding it difficult to shoot the action sequences.

As per sources, Salman Khan had undergone surgery to fix his health issue. Though he was given a clean chit post the operation, his pain returned while he was shooting for Kabir Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ in Cuba. Later he was taking extra care, but due to the high end stunts performed for his movie ‘Jai Ho’ the trouble resurfaced once again.

The crew on the sets is taking extra care of their Bhai to make sure that everything happens perfectly. It was not confirmed by sources close to the family as yet.

I Visited Kothas For Research – Kangana Ranaut

Actress Kangna Ranaut is known for the authenticity that she lends to her character and she has done the same for her role in ‘Lajjo’. Kangs plays the role of a mujrewalli in the movie. It is love story between her, a Muslim, and a teenage Brahmin boy, essayed by Paras Arora.
As per sources, Kangana said, “I did a lot of research… visited kothas at Nagpada near Mumbai Central and interacted with the women working there to understand their body language and mindset. I rehearsed for 14 to 16 hours every day. Vishwas was confident that I would carry off the character well and I guess I managed to pass the test.” In fact, a source adds, “Kangana even took to chewing gutka and paan to lend authenticity to her character.”

The movie has no offensive content but is a total entertainer, a story of a mujrewaali who wants to live like a regular girl.

‘Lajjo’ is all set to hit the theaters by November 15.

Ranbir – Abhinav Had A Great Fall

The most awaited film of the Dabangg Director, which released on Wednesday, the 2nd October had a great fall on day 2 inspite of getting a super start on day 1. The film bagged in Rs. 21 crores on day one, but could manage only Rs. 7 crore on the next day.

Word of mouth is what Besharam was relying on for its success, but sadly the ‘negative’ word of mouth is what it got leading to a great decline. The cracks had begun to appear on the opening day itself, when the evening/night shows did not perform at all.

So it seems like the grand opening was just because of the fact that “The Kapoor Trio” was the cast of the movie combined with the National holiday.

But sadly the Kapoor’s magic couldn’t not save the movie.

OMG – Was Jiah Khan Murdered?

Jiah Khan, the Nishabd actress was found hanging on 3rd June at her Juhu residence. A week later, on June 10, her boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi was arrested on charges of abetting her suicide. Sooraj, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, was July 1 granted bail by the high court.
Jiah’s mother, Rabiya filed a plea few days ago. According to her, if the evidences and medical opinions had to be believed then it would indicate that something is missing as far as suicide is concerned. Jiah Khan’s case is apparently a case of murder,” Dinesh Tiwari, who is Rabiya’s lawyer, said.
Rabiya feels that the investigation was not done properly. And so, she filed a fresh petition in the Bombay High Court alleging that her daughter could have been murdered and seeks CBI enquiry for the same.

It’s not about one person, but involves two people, the other being a girl, and she has more to lose than me. I think there is a right time to speak about everything”.
On his relation with his parents and on marriage – Ranbir reveals that his parents are not at all interfering and regarding his marriage, “My parents are happy if I am happy. They’ve never ever passed any rude comment about anybody. They are extremely friendly with me and, if they have any problem with me, I can always go and speak to them. Marriage is a natural process that has to organically come from you. I cannot get married because I am going to become 31 this year. As it will be a special moment for me and when I do get married, I want the girl to feel special and want it to be a surprise for her as it will be a big moment in her life, too.”

On the special people in his life for whom he can do anything Ranbir Kapoor said, “I can give my life for My family, Ayan, Katrina, as she is a very special person in my life.”

The cast and the crew of Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’, were on a celebratory mood after the schedule in Dubai came to an end. Every one was enjoying themselves at SRK’s private party, when all of a sudden unit members improvised a game of stripping those in view and pushing them into an icy cold swimming pool.
As per sources, “Before leaving for Mumbai, Shahrukh had hosted a party for the cast, crew and his friends at his Dubai bungalow. Abhishek Bachchan was almost caught in the melee, but managed to escape at the last moment. While the rest of the cast ran to save their modesty, some of the crew-members were caught and pushed into the pool amidst their howls of protest”.

Salman Khan to start Hero remake next year

Actor-producer Salman Khan, who is all set to produce the remake of Subhash Ghai's hit film Hero, will start rolling the cameras for the movie by early next year.

A 1983 film, Hero was directed by Subhash Ghai and featured Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri, who were new at that time.

"Yes, I am very happy that Hero is being remade and Salman Khan and his team will certainly do a good job. The film will be directed by Nikhil Advani and it will go on floors by early 2014," Ghai told IANS.

To be the first film being made under Salman Khan Productions, it will reportedly star Aditya Pancholi's son Sooraj and Suniel Shetty's daughter Athiya in the lead roles.
